Torchblight

In TorchBlight, your torch acts as your only offense and defence. Players are stranded inside a decaying castle, and must navigate the blooming flora to discover the true origin of the blight. Deeper into the castle, the bloom grows stronger and establishing safe zones becomes imperative to survival. Through repeated failure, each expedition equips players with the knowledge to progress — bringing themselves closer to the castle’s corrupted core.

Be on the lookout for fuel whilst sneaking along dangerous paths, burning obstacles and approaching enemies to avoid succumbing to the bloom. The only haven is the upcoming brazier which can be lit to keep the mulch at bay. Once a player is safe, they can explore new shortcuts and backtrack to uncover new secrets and abilities. Every new survival tactic allows for discovering the hidden truths of the bloom’s origin and castle’s past.

Core survival tactics:

• Burn the blight to clear pathways and defeat undead monsters
• Reignite braziers to preserve light and create safe zones
• Disturb the overgrowth to solve puzzles and uncover secrets
